Update on Scott’s Paper Towel Deal

Many of you took advantage of that hot Scott’s paper towel deal I posted previously. It turned out, that this deal was too good to be true. Instead being a 10 pack, it turned out that they meant a single pack (of the 3 rolls). Soon after, they updated the listing, removing the 10 pack in the title, but the price and weight was still the same.

Michael bought 11 orders of the 10 pack of 3 rolls(confusing). He was supposed to get 330 rolls of paper towels, only $0.15 each! But because the listing was changed he was charged and being sent only 11 3-packs so 33 rolls, for $50+!! We emailed the company and cancelled the order, but the order had already shipped! The 33 rolls were delivered promptly and he emailed letting PaperGoods (the company it was sold through) know the order was delivered…but cancelled. He offered to send them back or pay the original price, but PaperGoods insisted he keep them, free of charge.

This is their reply:

We are happy to send it as a gift to you to make up for the error and confusion.
We hope we keep you as a valued customer for all your future paper goods needs.
If there is anything else I can help you with please email me back as soon as possible.

I wanted to update you guys on this post for a few reasons. First, if you experienced the same problem, send them an email! Let them know there was a problem, offer to send it back, etc. I’m sure they will be willing to help you out.
Second, this was exceptionally nice of PaperGoods to let many of us keep our paper towels free of charge. The majority of the time when there’s a listing mistake, orders are simply cancelled. Please consider PaperGoods in the future and remember their professional take on this issue.
Third, there are always mistakes on Amazon. Some things are too good to be true, but you don’t know until you try, and we did. I can’t control what deals work out. I do hope that if you bought this deal, that you contact the company so you aren’t stuck.

Thanks to those of you that let me know the status of this deal and your order. This deal is not available anymore, so disregard this if you don’t know what I’m talking about.
