Clueless on our ShopRite Doubling Policies

Photobucket
Just last week many of you local readers realized a sudden change in our ShopRite doubles. From what I heard, they changed their policy last Sunday and were not considering themselves a fully doubling store anymore. I was told the coupons would double to a $1, meaning your $0.75/1 coupon would only take off $1, not our usual $1.50.

Even though the employees I spoke to were a bit clueless, I figured this was their new policy. I went to ShopRite two days ago and attempted using a $0.75/1 coupon. I was totally planning for it to only take off $1, but to my disappointment (my subtotal went negative!) it took off $1.50, which is not what I was expecting! So now, I really have no clue what’s going on with the doubling. I’m not sure if the policy has really changed, as there were no signs, or if there really are just glitches in the register.

If anyone has the answer on our Shoprite’s doubling policy, feel free to let me know. I’m rather clueless and I’m still not sure what to expect. All I can say is, while planning your trips don’t expect to get full doubles, but be prepared for it in case it happens.

We had the same experience. Shop Rite informed s their coupon policy has changed but some registers are still doubling. So enjoy it while it happens 🙂
