College Spendings and Freebies

I’ve been SO busy these past few days and I’m exhausted! Today, I took advantage of the new student activities (even though I’m not a new student!) and racked up some freebies as you see above. I LOVE free bags, actually I love anything that’s free.

And the picture below is of my textbooks. Anyone want to take a guess on how much they cost?

$710!  :O My poor, baby debit card! I’m sorry 🙁

How does the Savvy Student Shopper pay over $700 in one day?! Craziness. I know lots of ways to save money on text books, I really do, but I didn’t have much choice here. Most of my books are school editions and can’t be purchased anywhere other than my school. And many of them come with a CD or code to log onto the text book online, and by the time you buy the CD/code and a used textbook, purchasing the new “kit” through the school is still cheaper. ONE of my books (not pictured) is being bought through Amazonto save me $7, and I can also use gift cards from Swagbucks!

ughh half the time i’d buy textbooks & not ever use them in the class! haha make sure you look into selling the ones you can online & get some money back 😛 selling them to websites normally got me more money than selling them back to my school 🙂

@Brittany, I know what you mean! Hopefully I can get some money back after reselling them! I still have last semester’s books sitting here waiting to be sold, I’m slacking!!

I know exactly how you feel! I don’t think I’ve spent so much money on anything else in my entire life than textbooks. lol. And yeah it is impossible to save with books that require codes.
