Savvy Student Shopper’s Trip to CVS 1/6

2013-01-06 13.02.04

I haven’t shared a shopping trip in quite some time! It has been so busy between school and the holidays that I barely have the chance to shop. I went out to CVS this morning after the flea market to grab some deals!

Bought:

  • (2) Stayfree $4.19 BOGO FREE (Used a BOGO coupon) = Both FREE!
  • (1) Bayer Contour Meter $9.99 (Used $7/1 coupon) = $2.99 (Got $9.99 back in ECB)
  • (1) Bengay $5.49 (Used $2/1 coupon) = $3.49 (Got $2 back in ECB)
  • (2) Roc Cleansers $10.99 (Used (2) $3/1 coupons) = $7.99 each (Got $17 back in ECB BUT THIS DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY PRINT)
  • (1) Culturelle $9.99 (Used $2/1 CVS coupon) = $7.99 (Got $9.99 back)
  • (1) Nivea Shave Gel $4.39 (Got $5 ECB back)
  • (1) Soft Scrub $2 – Used  $1.00 off One (1) Soft Scrub Cleanser + Got $1 back from buying Soft Scrub Cleanser through SavingStar = FREE
  • (1) Dial Lotion on clearance for $1.82 (Used $1.50 off any ONE (1) Dial Lotion product) = $0.32

I used about $36 in ECBs, paid $0.63 in tax, and got back $44! Great trip 🙂

The cheaper Roc products are NOT printing the ECBs, only the more pricey items are but the cleansers, for instance, are not excluded in the ad, so you may be able to get a manual print from the cashier. But ymmv.

The Stayfree were FREE, Bayer Contour Meter was a $7 Money Maker, Bengay was $1.49, Roc Cleansers were a $1 Money Maker each (I forgot to use my $4/$20 Facial care coupon!), Culturelle was a $2 Money Maker, Nivea was a $0.61 money maker, Soft Scrub was FREE, and lotion was $0.32. Not too shabby.

The Stayfree like the one in your photo (32/36 count) is sold at my store for $6.99. The smaller ones (16 count) sell for $3.99. I’m in Philadelphia. I was bummed that I couldn’t get the larger pack for free.
