Keep in mind:

  • In general, if the coupon says “Save $$” then it is a Manufacturer’s coupon and it would be WRONG (and it will beep) if you use a paper manufacture’s coupon in combination with it. I usually don’t add the “Save $$” coupons unless I know there isn’t a better paper coupon available. For instance, “Save $0.75″ will double in a paper coupon, but does not double if you add it to your card digitally.
  • “$$ OFF” coupons typically are Safeway coupons that can be used with paper manufacture’s coupon. This is NOT always the case though. There are always a few “$$ OFF” coupons that work as manufacture’s coupons, but usually there is no way to know until you get to the register.
  • ALL Proctor & Gamble coupons (Tide, Charmin, Pampers, Crest, etc.) say “$$ OFF” BUT are ALWAYS manufacture’s coupons. You CANNOT use a digital P&G coupon and a paper P&G coupon on the same item, ever.
